Description
Luftverk - Alpina Slimline XP55
The retro shape that can even be set to fixed axle, Alpina Slimline may be the most luxurious old school yo-yo there is.
This luxurious titanium-machined yo-yo is designed to follow the old "normal" shape of the yo-yos from before the 1990's. So slim it fits well into the hand and pocket, making this a fun throw to carry around, though it's a complete departure from Luftverk's high-end competition lineup.
Titanium has held allure to the adult players, and now it offers a sense a nostalgia mixed with extravagance. The body profile is from the age a full decade before the advent of metal yo-yos. It's like going back to the old days, but the playfeel of titanium is undeniable and feels top-end. The fun of the Alpina is its strangely modern and nostalgic playfeel.
One of the unique points of the Alpina's design is that is supports three different response types! It comes set as a bind-response yo-yo, with a normal size C bearing. Swap it out for the included size C- bearing, and it will become a tug response yo-yo. The addition of the "Bearing Blank" makes the Alpina a proper fixed axle, bringing back the OG yo-yos before the age of "sleep" tricks. So many ways to play, but also a perfect addition to any collection, who else do you know with a titanium fixed axle yo-yo?
In addition to the XP55, which has a diameter of 55mm which is similar to most looping yo-yos, there is also a pocket-sized XP47. We'll let you guess how big that one is!
Comes with: Size C- bearing and "Bearing Blank"
