Wide round shape and o-ring response, Journey set the standard for competition yo-yos.

Amongst the all-plastic contest yo-yos, Journey boasts the most standard shape. Whereas the similarly-shaped Patriot uses a Starburst response system, Journey uses o-rings. The large size bearing gives priority on smoothness, following the trend of weaker response in contest yo-yos. If this isn't your cup of tea, you can increase the yo-yo's response using YoYoJam's thick oil. Journey's standard sizing and wide catch zone makes it easy to land more tricks.

Using a shim, you can set a fixed gap for your favorite setting, giving you almost zero maintenance or fiddling to do (of course, the shim is not necessary if you want to be able to adjust your settings on the fly).
