Oxygene - OXY5

Italian maker Oxygene's fifth release of their OXY series, the OXY5.

For their fifth OXY yo-yo, Oxygene has adopted an inverse round shape, which Oxygene has itself named the "Blacksun fat H shape." This creating the impression of a suit of armor, and this yo-yo has a very masculine presence. The yo-yo uses the popular European 6x13x5 bearing size; to ensure the ultimate experience, Oxygene has obtained a license from Dif-e-Yo to make their own KonKave bearings in this size. The OXY5 comes with Oxygene's KonKave on board.

The heavy outer rim is its most notable feature, both thick but scooped outwards, creating deep shadows that accentuate its curves. At 66g, it's a relatively average weighted yo-yo, but the design gives it the feeling of a much heavier model. With its gorgeous outer appearance and practical design style, the OXY5 is a luxurious yo-yo, to be sure. It's easy to see that Oxygene has been evolving their designs both aesthetically and practically.

Also rare for full metal yo-yos, the OXY5 features an adjustable gap for a regulated response system. If your pads start to wear out or you want to change you playing style, a simple twist is all you need to adjust the OXY5's response. The yo-yo comes equipped with the necessary O-rings to utilize this feature.

The RAW silver version is actually a two-tone, with one side being polished aluminum and the other has a satin finish. Eventually, the polished side may lose its shine and get cloudy, in which case you can polish it to restore its luster, but please note that if you polish the satin side it will lose its satin finish.
