Shinwoo - Griffin Wing 2
The highly valued Griffin Wing gets an update with a new response system.
Years since the development of the ZanNavi, it finally gets an off string treatment in the form of the Griffin Wing. The beautiful clear colored wings are made from rubber, and it's loaded with the same RSS Spacer that comes in the ZanNavi 2. Just by flipping the spacer around, you can adjust the gap to suit your playing style.
At 80 grams, it's not a lightweight by any stretch of the imagination, but for off string yo-yos this is an ideal size and weight for stability and spinning power. Removing the side caps will drop the total weight down to 73 grams. Surprisingly, this actually increases spinning power by moving the center of weight outwards towards the wings, so if you weren't satisfied with the Griffin Wing's spin and weight, you can remedy this quite easily. Naoto Okada used this yo-yo to claim the 4A World Championship in 2009.

The biggest distinction between the Griffin Wing 2 and the original Griffin Wing 1 is the response system and the hardness of the rubber rims. Whereas the Griffin Wing 1 had a built-in rubber response system, the Griffin Wing 2 is more customizable, loaded with a reversible ring (one side is corrugated like a starburst, the other is flat) giving two different possible settings. The Griffin Wing 2 also comes with an extra silicone ring for a third option, giving you many settings to try and decide which is best for you. The other major difference is that the Griffin Wing 2's outer rubber rim is considerably harder than the first. This is a matter of personal taste, so if you like a softer wing on your off string yo-yo, we recommend the Griffin Wing 1.
