Paul Yath is one of the coolest yo-yo players out there. From his base in Los Angeles, California, he's set up shop to create yo-yos from his own unique perspective, and the results speak for themselves. This is his first release of 2010. The popular Cream, formerly made from machined delrin plastic, has been turned into a full metal yo-yo (hence the name, "heavy cream"). The package looks more like you've puchased a pint of ice cream rather than a high-end yo-yo. The unique appearance doesn't stop at the package; the attractive splash coloring inspires the image of melting ice cream. It would make a lovely addition to any collection, but it's not just for show. Inside is another work of art: Crucial's Groove Bearing, making the Heavy Cream the first yo-yo to come equipped with this bearing. Despite being a pure round wing shape, the string barely comes into contact with the yo-yo, and it's incredibly stable. The wide round body leads up to nearly flat outer rims. It feels light for its size, and it's easy to put a lot of power into your throws. Heavy Cream is Cucial's most impressive offering to date; we can expect to see a lot of people discovering their fascination in yo-yos, thanks to his dope designs. This unique personal expression is Yath's signature, and something you can't find in other makers.
