The steps in the outer sides have deepened, and the outer rim has been rounded off, greatly changing the weight distribution. The weight itself has been slightly lowered, making the new Heavy Hitter slightly less heavy and slightly better for speedy play.

A key point of this new shape is the steps. Compared to the original Heavy Hitter, the new steps are a different angle, broken into step from the low edge response bump, and again out to the greatly rounded rim, making the new Heavy Hitter more of a step-round H-profile. This minimizes string friction and sleep loss, keeping those worries out of your mind when you're throwing long combos all day. Just a small change in these shapes has made a significant impact on the yo-yo's performance.
