The name is appropriate for this wide-bodied yo-yo. Manatee is the new signature model of world-reknowned trick innovator, Riccardo Fraolini.
The internet has been a great tool for spreading the love of yo-yos around the world. Youtube and Social Media have created a boon of interest and made it easy for players to share tricks of all styles with players all around the world. Among those content creators, Riccardo Fraolini has stood out as one of the most creative and prolific trick innovators. The Manatee is his signature model.
Development on the Manatee started around the same time as the Arctic Circle 2, and the relationship between the two is evident in details on the side face and profile. Also, the precision of the Manatee's movement and the ease of control reminds us of the Arctic Circle 2. The most obvious difference between the two is the body width; compared to its 54mm diameter, the 48mm width makes the Manatee a decidedly wide throw. Perfect for rail tricks and floaty slack tricks, the Manatee is easy to mount on the string in any position. Manatee boasts all the merits of its powerful, wide, full metal design.
*Colorways all have the manatee artwork on one side, with "MANATEE" and Riccardo Fraolini's name on the opposite side.

The Manatee is the new signature return top for Riccardo Fraolini, and one of our favorite designs to date. Riccardo has made a name for himself as the undisputed king of the #trickcircle, posting some of the most mind-blowing original tricks imaginable to his Instagram and Facebook accounts, and he wanted a return top that would make his nearly-impossible tricks just a little more consistent.
The Manatee design started with the Arctic Circle 2; Riccardo wanted a similar feel look with the rims, but asked for a different feel on the string. The Manatee has a super wide profile with a huge catch zone for all those tricky catches, and plenty of rim weight to help you get through those long tricks and combos. The Manatee's weight distribution makes it really easy to control the speed of your play, whether you are slowing down a trick for video or pushing for ultra-fast contest play.
