Oxygene, an Italian brand with a long history of beautifully designed high-end yo-yos, has taken a new concept to heart with the Obsidian: sharing the joy of yo-yoing with adults the world over. The design and production of the Obsidian was closely supervised by "BLACK," the 2001 World Champion and recent speaker at the world-famous TED conference in San Diego, California.

At its heart, the Obsidian sports Oxygene's trademark titanium core. With a greater density than aluminum, the titanium core is thinner and lighter a other materials, while still being incredibly strong and durable.

Originally dropped at the 2014 EYYC, the consensus from the players there was that the "Italian Design" of Oxygene is well worth the $200 price tag, and the performance impresses even world champions. The Obsidian joins a long line of top-of-the-line throws from one of the most luxurious makers in the world.
