Description
Japan Technology - Ashiru Kamui
The Kamui is now easier than ever to obtain, with this molded plastic variation.
Japan Technology's first yo-yo, the Kamui took the off string world by storm, showing its chops as a top-class throw worthy of its name. Now, that same Kamui is available for cheaper than ever. Ashiru Kamui means "new god" in the Ainu language, and the Ashiru Kamui is no slouch in the quality department, despite its new low price.
The secret to that price drop is a metal mold, that is to say, instead of a block of delrin getting machined like a metal yo-yo, that same delrin is poured into a mold. You might expect this shift in production methods to lower the quality of the yo-yo, but the same intense attention to detail that Japan Technology is now famous for is alive and well; the Ashiru Kamui loses nothing in translation. And all for a price you can't pass up!
The Ashiru Kamui uses the YoYoJoker Joker Pad Rings, which should be a pleasing choice for advanced players who want to fine-tune their response systems. The yo-yo comes with Type80 pads, for slightly weaker response.
This yo-yo does not come with string. The spacer that comes with the yo-yo is tightly fitted to the yo-yo. After removing and reinstalling it several times, it should be much easier to take out and put in. For gap adjustment, use the washer (sold separately) in the related items panel.
