Description
sOMEThING - Anglam MGSS
A super rare throw has appeared! The Anglam MGSS is a Magnesium-bodied bimetal yo-yo.
sOMEThING's flagship model, the infamous Anglam now has an ultra-rare edition machined with a magnesium body and a stainless steel ring. Magnesium is the lightest metal used in yo-yo bodies, blowing aluminum alloys out of the water. But because of its low melting point and low corrosion resistance, it's notoriously difficult to machine, so a magnesium yo-yo is a very rare sight indeed, especially on the contest stage.
This Anglam MGSS makes full use of the lightness of magnesium, making a body that is as light as possible in all the right places, and the stainless steel ring puts the weight where it's needed most. This hacking of weight distribution through material selection is pushed to the extreme here, getting the most out of elements that are rare and difficult to work with. There are not many players that have experienced a magnesium throw, but we can say that the Anglam MGSS is not just a proof of concept, but also an excellent top that is super fun to play. The make quality is excellent, the playfeel is superb, and the subtle matte colorway is very chic.
*Comes loaded with a titanium axle.
