This bimetal yo-yo is the product of a remarkable new formula.

The Agonist is the new bimetal variation of yoyomonster's flagship model, the Checkmate. The big difference between this yo-yo and its predecessor lies in the materials used. With a 6061 aluminum body, stainless steel rim and titanium axle, the Agonist sounds like most high-end bimetal yo-yos, but yoyomonster cooked up a new process to create the yo-yo. Before the yo-yo is milled, the aluminum and steel are joined together using a special technique, so when the yo-yo is machined, there is practically no seam between the body and rim. This gives the Agonist immense strength and durability, and it looks like a gorgeous monometal yo-yo.

The new bimetal formula pushes the yo-yo's weight out into the wings, improving an already spectacular throw. Lastly, it means an even better union between the body and rim, making it more durable in case you ding or drop it.
