It is a B-Grade Messiah (Silver). It comes with Old logo design. It does not have a package.
Packing the potential for super-complicated tricks into an undersized body, Messiah is Takahiro Iizuka’s signature model.
Messiah was developed by Iizuka so he could pursue his particular style of especially complicated tricks. Iizuka rounded the outer edge to shave the diameter even further, into a step-round shape. Usually, smaller yo-yos lack spinning power, but Messiah has no such problem. The low edge is also of course in full effect; during play, even three-dimensional motion doesn’t result in sleep loss. With such a small, powerful yo-yo in your hand, you can’t help but develop your own style of complicated tricks. With the same concept as the tried-and-true Dreadnought, developed from such an unconventional perspective, new and exciting tricks are possible with this exquisite yo-yo.
Although he didn’t place in the 2009 World Contest, Iizuka’s unique performance stunned the crowd, and drew attention to the yo-yo that made his characteristic tricks possible. He placed 7th at the contest, but his performance video drew the 3rd most view on youtube, following that year’s champion, Shinya Kido, and runner-up, Hiroyuki Suzuki.
Please note: YYR uses 7075 aluminium alloy to seek their best performance. 7075 is not a great material for anodizing, so YYR yo-yos have anodizing imperfection and small spot, scratches on their bodies. They seek the best performance, not best cosmetics.
*Sometimes the sides of the yo-yo will be ever-so-slightly convex in the center, but since it is perfectly centered around the bearing, this will have no affect on how the yo-yo plays.
