Description
2011 Asia Champion, Christopher Chia's "TAKE THAT" Sleipnir from yoyorecreation.
Amongst 1A players, horizontal tricks have recently become very popular. Performed sideways, “sleep loss” makes these tricks extremely difficult. Now a staff member here at Rewind, Kido designed Sleipnir to minimize sleep loss. In 2009, Kido used a prototype Sleipnir to claim 1st place at the World Yo-Yo Contest.
Employing yoyorecreation’s conventional low-edge and step-straight body type, Sleipnir is a top-class yo-yo. Its 65 grams are well-placed, ensuring a long, balanced sleep. Sleipnir is the first YYR model to use the same 7075 Aluminum used to make aircrafts, and as a result, this thing can really fly! The low-edge design gives it a solid spin despite its lightness, noticeable in normal string tricks as well. Even a powerful throw is unlikely to throw it off-balance. In fact, it feels as if the yo-yo spins of its own accord. With such improved speed and balance, it’s exciting to think of all the new tricks that can be developed!
*We’ve received reports that the body is so tightly assembled it is difficult to open. If you have difficulty, try using gloves with a rubber grip to give you more torque. If still have difficulty, please let us know.
Please note: YYR uses 7075 aluminium alloy to seek their best performance. 7075 is not a great material for anodizing, so YYR yo-yos have anodizing imperfection and small spots, scratches on their bodies. They seek the best performance, not best cosmetics.
