From Basecamp's first release lineup, Jackknife is a monometal that takes a page from CLYW's book.
Combining the prowess of two of North America's most famous makers, Basecamp is born from a collaboration between CLYW and YoYoFactory. Their first release is a trifecta of top performance: The Jackknife, Moonshine and Expedition.
The Jackknife is based on CLYW's recent work, but YoYoFactory took the lead in its execution. Despite its 64 grams, Jackknife is a speedy throw and feels light in the hand. In these days, where heavier yo-yos are gaining popularity, it's refreshing to have floaty throw with such fine weight balance.
Another cool aspect to this design is the concave "fingerspin cup," which makes top-on style play incredibly easy and fun. All three of this Basecamp lineup are free of logos and etchings, giving you the smoothes surface possible to practice with.
