CYYC's first model comes back with a smoking new paint job.

When the Bulldog came out in 2009, it was praised for its ease of use and gorgeous coloring, and sold out in record time. Since the maker doesn't do mass production, the Bulldog was retired with the advent of its successors, the delToro and the Route 66. One year later, in response to the calls for a rerun, CYYC has revived the Bulldog like a phoenix from the ashes, with a matching color scheme. Only 80 units were produced in this limited run.

Slightly small in the hand, it still spins with fury. It still has a stout feeling to it, despite its light weight, most of which is pushed to the outer rim for extra stability. The edge has a slight sharp round shape to it. The Bulldog can easily handle any tricks you're brave enough to try.

The body has a matte finish, ideal for grinds, but the real eye-grabbing detail is the flaming paint job, an intense fire pattern made from a combination of black, yellow and red anodizations. All the flames go in the same direction, making the spinning yo-yo look like it's leaving a trail of fire behind it. Even more impressive, and the reason the run is so limited, is that this amazing detail is all done BY HAND. That's right, these are all hand-anodized with three different colors, making each and every Bulldog 5 Alarm completely unique. To this old dog, you CAN teach new trick.
