This inner-rim bimetal model is a total throwback to the infancy of wing-shape yo-yos!
Since the days that metal yo-yos became mainstream, the tumultuous world of yo-yo designs has seen many huge paradigm shifts. The evolution of yo-yo design has been a fascinating study of material science, physics, and design. CLYW has been here through it all, and helped spearhead a lot of those popular designs.
This yo-yo, the Gorge, is a nod to CLYW's roots, and the narrow-bodied yo-yos of the early 2000's. The high edge and round shape is totally reminiscent of the yo-yos wielded by our modern yo-yo masters, but the stainless steel inner rim weight is a nod to the current trends and capabilities of yo-yo makers. Old school flavor with new school technology!
The Gorge has a very nostalgic feel, that any old player would feel comfortable picking up. Great for a casual throw to take everywhere!
