Description
Core Concept Yoyos x SF Yoyos - BFF
With a specially designed curved inner rim, the BFF is a new collaboration model between Core Concept Yoyos and SF Yoyos.
This bimetal throw is the result of a collaboration between CoreCo (Core Concept Yoyos) and SF Yoyos. The curved stainless steel inner rim is the same as the one used in the SFSS, with a straightened H-profile body. The key to this model's concept is the joining of the two materials to create a single flowing shape, showing both the beauty of the joinery and the finishing quality of the makers' manufacturing. The resulting curved rim weight also gives a special feel to it, and it's interesting to compare to other bimetal designs.
The combination of stainless steel's weight with the curved design on the rim give an interesting sense of smoothness and softness during play, which was evident in the original step round shape of the SFSS. The H-profile of the BFF is a little more straightforward and results in a "harder" feeling, hitting you head on. It's the Karate to SFSS's Aikido. The BFF focuses more on power than grace, and it shows in the playfeel. With its strong base, the BFF has a solid, powerful spin.
The striking combination of parts and shapes make the BFF stand out, and it's a great collaboration model between two accomplished makers.
