Description
Hubless Yoyo - The Doughnut
The yo-yo that is hollow in the middle! This is an interesting throw that totally breaks the mold in a delicious way.
This is the first model from Hubless Yoyo, and just as advertised, this yo-yo has no central hub! The result is a doughnut-like appearance that Hubless leaned into. Unlike the common yo-yos designed for casual and competition play, the Doughnut bucks every trend of modern yo-yo design. The body and the axle have become one, which result in a larger bearing and response system than normal. It's thick like a wheel, and at over 90 grams, its weight matches its massive size! You'll probably never see one of these on a contest stage.
It's a fun addition to any collection, but it's also interesting to toss around; the playfeel is really unlike anything you've come to expect, so we definitely suggest giving it a try.
*This yo-yo is a playable collection model, but it is not meant for competition play or performance tricks.
*This doughnut is made of metal, please do not eat it!
Official Description
The Doughnut is the first offering for Hubless YoYo. Our goal was to create the world’s first hubless yo-yo. You may have seen a hubless wheel on a bicycle or motorcycle. On a bicycle, a hubless wheel appears to be just the rubber tire. The center hub and the spokes that attach it to the outside rim are gone. You can actually step through this wheel from one side to the other! Well, you can’t step through The Doughnut, but you can look through it. We like to say, “There’s a hole in our yo-yo!”
We may be a bit crazy, but we think you’ll like the world’s first production hubless yo-yo. Bringing this technology to a yo-yo was an exciting process of finding a balance between form (let’s make the hole in the center larger) to function (let’s make sure the yo-yo will spin). A big yo-yo, The Doughnut will add some sugar to your tricks (we had Gruntbull Anodizing bake on some delicious color ways) and challenge you to keep it smooth and straight. If you decide to add us to your collection, let us know what you think. Hubless Yoyo is always looking to make our products better for you, the player.
Please note that Chocolate Glazed, Pink Glazed, and Chocolate Dipped with Sprinkles may have drips or specks of color somewhere other than the “glaze.”
Please note that this is a BIG metal yo-yo and it should be thrown with caution.
Please Note:
Laser engraving leaves a rough surface; some of our colorways (TS Goldflow, Black and Blue All Over, and Tiger or Clownfish?) have a thick anodized finish that may rough in spots; lastly, Checkered Flag Glaze may have drips of black color on the gold base or an errant laser strike. These are expected cosmetic variations and all yoyo's are inspected for quality before sale.
