Auldey - Ares star

From Auldey, the Ares star is 2011 1A world champion, Marcus Koh's signature model.

Auldey is a name well known in its native China, and this exceptional yo-yo is the signature model of 2011 World Champion, Marcus Koh. Koh used this high spec yo-yo at the world contest he won, showing that Auldey had really stepped up their game.

A little heavy, and inverse rounded, the Ares star is on the big side, but sits between full and oversized. Koh's signature style, using acrobatic and speedy horizontal rail combos and influent-style tricks is what the Ares star was designed to do. The Ares star is a true signature model, matching Koh's style of play; the name "Ares" is a Greek god of war, alluding to Koh's reputation.

Only a thousand of these have been made, and most of those have stayed within China. Be sure to grab one for yourself while you can.

The propeller detail on the side is a metal part, affixed to the axle. The yo-yo is really tightly closed, so the first time you need to open it up with rubber gloves. The packaging contains a string and an instruction manual (in Chinese). The pink and blue versions have slightly different packaging.
