Die-Nasty is Yo-Yo Master Steve Brown's signature model. You may also know him as the man who invented counterweight play.

Taking the Grind Machine and losing the inner rim and hubstack in favor of a side cap, it looks like a pretty standard plastic yo-yo. But the Die-Nasty is a top performer, in YoYoFactory's high class Death to Metal series, along with the Protostar and Counter Attack. Whereas the others in the series use metal rims to add weight, the Die-Nasty has opted for a plastic sidecap, for great performance at an even more affordable price. The Die-Nasty has a wide fixed gap and comes loaded with a Center Trac bearing; it has the chops to make it a strong contender even on the contest scene. A good yo-yo for those who want to start practicing bind techniques without costing an arm and a leg.

Brown has sought to show the true potential of a pure plastic yo-yo, and succeeded with the Die-Nasty. YoYoFactory has once again produced a personalized signature model fitting the player's personality, ideals and playing style.
