Fulvia is the flagship series of Luftverk, the yo-yo company that specializes in titanium models. This new edition has been given a special AMS2488D coating, which bestows special qualities on the yo-yo's body. The full name of this model is the Fulvia AMS2488 Type II.

AMS2488D is a coating known to be "smoother than water," and is compared to teflon for low-friction and nonstick applications. This is the first yo-yo made with this coating. It's unusual to find a titanium yo-yo with a blast treatment, let alone a low-friction coating, so this is a good example of Luftverk willing to put in research and experimentation to provide the bleeding edge of yo-yo technology. The resulting yo-yo gives all the performance of Luftverk's lineup, but with the added benefits of a yo-yo that just keeps on spinning.

Luftverk did take the chance to re-examine the weight distribution, and while the 63.5 grams is pretty average for a titanium yo-yo, the new Fulvia provides performance and control that exceeds our expectations. They don't just make luxury yo-yos, they mean for you to throw for keeps.

The Fulvia is a yoyo that shares the same shape as the Bi-metal Fulvia BTM. But don't be fooled. Although it shares the identical profile, it is meant to be a completely different yoyo and not a budget version. The Fulvia has a different feeling on the string, focusing on higher spin speeds instead of brute rim weight. With the slightly thicker body section, it has more mid-weight than the BTM making it a much more forgivable, but still competition focused throw.

AMS2488 Type II is an SAE coating used as a dry lubricant. Its applications include military and medical instruments around the world as an anti-galling agent.
