An all new construction turns the Shaqshine into a "layered bimetal" throw.
3 years after its explosive debut, the Shaqshine gets a refresh! It has a 6061 aluminum body with a stainless steel rim. So far, seems like a pretty normal bimetal throw... but the new Shaqshine hides secrets in its design that you won't see but you'll definitely feel. The secret is that this new yo-yo has both outer AND inner rims, creating a "layered" steel rim. The end result cannot be seen: it can only be felt!

This is an updated version of the SHAQSHINE, originally released in 2016.
The biggest distinction of this renewal is the use of both outer and inner steel rims. Since a cross-section of this rim shows the layering of the metals, we're calling this design a "layered bimetal" yo-yo. As two rims become one, the balance between the body and the rims give a balance and playfeel that only we can deliver.
The new Shaqshine has the sense of control and stability of an inner rim design, but also has the power of an outer rim. The result refuses to spin off-axis, you can really feel the forces keeping your yo-yo upright. Just like you, the Shaqshine stands tall through all the trials that life throws at it.
