RecRev - Octave 1
A step-round shape and super low edge makes the Octave hit all the right notes.
When theglasslab leaked a photo of the Octave prototype, it caused quite a stire in the yo-yo community. The body is a combination of the Electric Daisy and Oscillatrix, giving it a shape reminiscent of TurningPoint's Leviathan. The weight is slightly above average, which is readily felt when you pick it up and feel the rounded outer rims.
In addition to the low edge and slightly raised response area, a Crucial Bearing 2 makes sure the string stays far away from the body until you're ready to bind. If you like round yo-yos, this is a solid throw you won't want to miss. Team RecRev's Anthony Rojas used an Octave at the 2011 US Nationals, and won a respectable 2nd place.
This yo-yo does not come with string, so prepare your own! Aside from the genuine response pads, this yo-yo is also compatible with the K-pad Large Slim size pads.
