The first offering from Spin Dynamics is an ultimate grinding yo-yo.

This is the first release from Spin Dynamics. It has a similar profile to the YoYoFactory Genesis, with the unusual addition of a plasic side cap. To increase durability, the axle is stainless steel and the axle area is machined out of a stainless steel insert, ensuring that even extended use won't wear away the threading. With general specs similar to the Monkey Fist, the Smooth Move is a slightly undersized throw.

The Smooth Move's biggest charactistic is that it's designed especially for grind-style tricks. Minor touches like the super-smooth soda blast finish, the lip on the outer rim and the concave groove on the inner rim are designed with thumb and finger grinds in mind. That's also the reasoning behind the plastic side cap. Even during the heyday of grind style (2003-2005), you didn't see touches like this on yo-yos, which shows that there's still quite a bit more to discover in grind style.
